    FOUNDER

    J.C. co-founded Current Equity Partners after retiring as a Partner and co-head of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisor’s Renewable Energy Infrastructure Group. J.C. also co-founded Renewable Land Advisors alongside P.J. Fielding and Alex Stone, and serves as Executive Chairman of both Current and RLA. At his retirement from Kayne, he was one of the longest-tenured portfolio managers in the listed energy infrastructure sector, overseeing $20 billion in assets at its peak and with over 25 years of experience. He earned a B.S. from Loyola Marymount University and a Master of Taxation from the University of Southern California.

  • P.J. Fielding

    FOUNDER

    P.J. co-founded Current Equity Partners and Renewable Land Advisors alongside J.C. Frey after over a decade in both private and public markets at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors. P.J. leads Current's investing efforts and sits on the Board of Directors and Investment Committee of both Renewable Land Advisors and metrobloks. At Kayne, he served as portfolio manager of a renewable infrastructure fund and an energy transition fund. He graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania.
